Dukto allows you to transfer data between two devices, regardless of the operating system they are running. It helps avoid many of the complications that may arise when dealing with shared folders over the local network. In this respect, it is much easier than other ways of transferring data.

The application has a very straightforward interface that imitates that of a smartphone APK. In fact, its Windows version looks exactly as the one running on my Android phone. This is an absolute advantage because, if you already learned how to use it on your computer, there will be nothing new to learn when you use it on your portable device or vice versa.

The program connects to a Wi-Fi or LAN network and automatically detects other devices. Most of a transfer is done automatically, you just to select a buddy (target device) and the files or folders you want to send. Luckily, dragging the desired contents and dropping them onto the program’s window is also supported. Besides files, the program allows sending text. It is good that no additional steps are necessary on the target device as the files are copied to the default recipient folder.
